It’s Tour time again (it has been for a week or so already, to tell the truth) so it’s time for me to vanish off the face of the earth until the end of July.

It’s been brilliant viewing so far, I must say. The return of Lance Armstrong has US TV talking about him like he’s the second coming of Christ. Mind you, after watching how strong he’s been so far you can almost forgive them for it.

Almost.

No predictions from me on how it might go – it’s too unpredictable a race and there’s far too much ground to be covered yet. I’d love to see Garmin-Slipstream do well, and Astana have been absolutely incredible so far. Watching the Armstrong/Contador tussles have been far more entertaining than I thought they’d be.

Bob suggested a drinking game that, if followed, would most likely give you liver damage. Possibly worse. I’d advise caution if you’re thinking about following it, even for just a single stage, let alone the rest of the Tour.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
