Friskier than Eric Morcambe and almost as handsome.

Without a doubt, today’s photo by the always incredible Sam Javanrouh has to be one of my favorite pictures posted by him in a long while…

Good stuff.

It's Official: Jayme Hicks is the Best Real Estate Agent in the Triangle

Posted: Jun 15, 2007

Congratulations to my good friend Jayme Hicks who’s just been voted “Best Real Estate Agent” in the Indy’s Best of the Triangle awards for 2007.

If you’re thinking of buying a propery in the Triangle you should definitely give her a call.

Well done, Jayme!

Joshua

Posted: Jun 15, 2007

So looking forward to seeing Joshua next month.

Much as I love The Omen, I’m glad to see my namesake taking over the mantle from the Damien’s of the world when it comes to acting creepy in movies.

WWDC Keynote

Posted: Jun 11, 2007

Steve’s Keynote at this years WWDC may have left me a little less enthused than I’d hoped (I know, I know – they could have promised me a Unicorn and after the iPhone announcement at MacWorld it would have still felt a little flat) but I’m loving the look of Leopard. October can’t come around fast enough.

I installed the Safari for Windows beta on The Wife’s laptop and they weren’t kidding about the speed. By god the thing is fast. Nice to finally see a decent looking web browser on Windows too. Firefox might be a great browser but, Mr Hicks’ logo aside, good looking it ain’t.

Great job on the redesigned apple.com too, very slick.

London 2012 Olympics Logo

Posted: Jun 11, 2007

So, after mulling it over for a few days instead of rushing to judge it on first glance, I’m getting more and more taken with the new logotype for the London 2012 Olympics.

Initial reactions from folksacross the internet have been, for the most part, almost universally unflattering (with the odd welcome exception), but the more I look at it, the more I dig it.

One of the comments I saw bandied around compared it to the legendary British TV show Tiswas, so maybe that’s why I like it so much. Hopefully it will survive the mauling the British tabloids are currently handing it, but only time will tell.
